Birthday wishes for a mother
Dear Momma!
Today was particularly hard for me, and I am sure it is a difficult time for all the people who loved you as they remember the past but also as they wonder how to face the future that you no longer play a part.
The common emotions that people experience during this time are sadness and happiness. The sadness is felt when one remembers all the good times with you and the memories that were made. Happiness comes when people can think about how much you have done for them and how happy you must be in heaven, watching down on them, always guiding and protecting them from above.
As your child, on your birthday, it is 1000% harder to imagine myself walking this earthly plain without your love and guidance helping me navigate life. Looking back, it's been tough for me to convey my love and admiration for you in recent years. All the things I want to say or do for you seem cliche or not enough. But I will never forget that you were the most fabulous mother and an even greater person. And I'm and always have been so proud of all the achievements that you've achieved over the years through the difficult path that you walked during your lifetime because they are only more reasons why we should celebrate with cake and presents!
I miss you every single day! While all the days go by without you in them, and it may get easier to navigate through them after all these years, it doesn't feel right celebrating without you here, either. It's hard not having my best friend anymore, but at least when I see your pictures, it reminds me how much I love and cherish our memories together!
You were so many things to me. You were my best friend, my confidant, and my everything. When I got the call that said I needed to get home as soon as possible before you faded away, it was as if someone had ripped my heart right out of my chest. Every year for your birthday, I'm reminded of how much you meant to me, how much I miss you, and how much I still love you, momma!
I love you and wish you the happiest of birthdays, where ever you may be celebrating!
